Türkiye’s leading energy storage and technology company, ASPİLSAN Enerji, once again emphasizes the importance it places on increasing the employment of qualified women in engineering on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day. From the defense industry to energy storage technologies, ASPİLSAN Enerji develops future energy solutions with the contributions of female engineers, technicians, and specialists. As one of the rare defense industry companies with significant female involvement, ASPİLSAN Enerji’s Vice Chair of the Board, Prof. Ebru Menşur, leads initiatives to strengthen women’s roles in engineering and technology, raising awareness in the sector.
ASPİLSAN Enerji General Manager, Prof. Ahmet Turan ÖZDEMİR, made the following statement regarding the issue: “Increasing the employment of qualified women in technology and engineering is critical for sustainable development and innovation. As ASPİLSAN Enerji, we provide opportunities for our female employees to enhance their competencies, support their career development, and implement initiatives to ensure equal representation at all levels. In this context, we aim to make a difference through our support programs, training opportunities, and an inclusive work environment. In the projects we carry out, our female managers, engineers, and technicians play critical roles and make vital contributions to the design and development of Türkiye’s domestic and national energy storage technologies.
At ASPİLSAN Enerji, the total number of female employees in our current workforce is 53. Among them, 36 are white-collar and 17 are blue-collar employees. Of our white-collar female employees, 24 hold a bachelor’s degree, 10 have a master’s degree, and 2 have a doctorate. The proportion of women among our total white-collar workforce is 29.51%.
